ECC came together with the belief that following Jesus was more than just a Sunday morning thing. The church extends beyond the walls to the ends of the earth, and ECC had a heart from the beginning to be an outward focused church. We believe that all people—anybody, anywhere—are image bearers of God, and because of that all people deserve respect. ECC had a desire to show an authentic love like Jesus would have done.
Jesus’ last command before he ascended to heaven was to go out into the world and make disciples. Discipleship was so important to Jesus that He spent the majority of His three years of ministry training His twelve disciples. Discipleship is the other piece of the story that wove ECC together. If following Jesus is our priority, we should all desire to obey Him more every day. Community gropus are all about growing together in Jesus’ teachings.
The formation of ECC stemmed from an insatiable desire to follow Jesus more passionately with our lives. We want to give our everything to Him and encourage as many others to do the same along the way.
